Description Daniel Barthel 2011-10-28 12:49:18 UTC
1st.: i installed suse 12.1 on a clean device (formating the device using yast
fro the install), it was no update of an existing system!

2nd.: the GRAFICAL autoconfig failed in this install and complained about an
non supported or unknown grafic card and switched to text-mode, which worked.

3rd.: the running system had the "nouveau" driver installed, but this did not
work correctly
4rd: i tryed to install the nvidia driver manually because "nouveau" driver was
not working in the running system, but this manuall install failed.

in the first install, i did not specificate any special
driver and it was an clean new install (no update), with formating linux partitions, in which the GRAFICAL autoconfig failed with an error message (i dont rember the exact text of this) about an unknown or unsupported grafic card!

Those are four different problems you describe - please use one report for each and mention the other reports somewhere.
