network manager does not automatically start system wlan connection
Last modified: 2012-09-09 21:56:53 UTC
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 I have defined a system connection and checked the automatic connect checkbox in the wlan definition the wlan does not autonatically connect after a reboot. I have to enable the wireless lann manually each time the computer starts up. All the wlan settings are ok since the wlan simply connects after checking the enable wireless lan checkbox in the network manager plasmoid. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure there is no wired lan on your pc 2. Define wireless connection in the network manager plasmoid 3. Make sure it's a system connection by checking the system connection checkbox. 4. Check the connect automatically checkbox 5. Verify the wireless lan is working. 6. Reboot pc 7. Login to confirm that wireless lan does not start automatically - extra check to see that there is nothing wrong with your wireless lan definition 8. Enable the wireless lan in the network manager plasmoid. 9. Wait to confirm the wireless lan starts up and works. Actual Results: network manager does not automatically start wireless lan Expected Results: network manager should automatically start wireless lan
