After installing openSUSE 12.2 beta 1 and rebooting and finally reaching the login, unable to login using the user credentials given during installation. Only able to login as root, then create your user account manually, and relogin that way.

It is also necessary to select your session type manually at login or login refuses to proceed, even for root. Looks like there is no default option automatically setup for you.

Reproducible: Always

Your installation did not end correctly, right?

You've seen red popup about some part not able to execute?

(This would be bug 764951, preventing also users to be saved)
Comment 5 Bryan Goodall 2012-07-02 20:23:57 UTC
Correct, the configuration stage of installation failed to execute and instead the installation just rebooted.
