I booted up 12.3 M1 live CD (this happened for me in 12.2 too). I started the installer and it hangs on the 1st screen, dmesg shows /dev/fd0 bad sector multiple times. After several attempts it installed properly. Now when I start up partitioner in YaST it hangs the same way with same dmesg messages. Unfortunately I don't have any floppy, so I went to BIOS and disabled floppy devices, which fixed this problem, though I expect to get from YaST:
You don't appear to have any floppy device, disable it in BIOS, or click try anyway.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have floppy enabled in BIOS, but don't have a floppy device.
2. Start Installer/Partitioner
3. Get old by waiting for Installer/Partitioner
Actual Results:
Hangs sometimes.

Expected Results:
Beautiful and informative message.
