Description Marvin FourtyTwo 2012-12-12 09:28:41 UTC
installing samba 4 breaks sssd because libldb1-1.1.10 is upgraded to 1.1.14 and sssd refused to load its modules with version mismatch.

Very likely a duplicate of bnc#769155

so are you going to provide an rebuild sssd version in the samba 4 repo as this request demands https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/133272 ?
Comment 3 Lars Müller 2012-12-12 11:14:12 UTC
As a workaround till https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9495 got resolved we link sssd into the network:samba:TESTING repository. Let us know if that works for you.
Comment 4 Lars Müller 2012-12-12 11:19:47 UTC
network:samba:TESTING has now a linked version of sssd from openSUSE:Factory

If you think a different one fits better please state the name of the alternative repository.
Comment 5 Lars Müller 2012-12-12 15:18:39 UTC
The packages for x86_64 are ready. The scheduler for i586 sticks at the moment.

@Stephan: Is there anything we can do from the samba side? Even the builds of the i586 build target from network:ldap/sssd are one release step behind the x86_64 one.

Please pass the report back to needinfo state from marvin24@gmx.de
Comment 6 Marvin FourtyTwo 2012-12-12 15:46:27 UTC
New sssd from the samba repo worked, but I had to re-add the service manually, because it didn't started after the upgrade. This is on 12.2/x86_64 btw.

Thanks for fixing!

Thanks for the Feedback.

Stephan is aware of the i586 issues of the OBS. Therefore I'm closing this bug again.
