Bugzilla – Bug 897758
Qt5 is compiled with SSE2 by default
Last modified: 2020-12-03 13:58:51 UTC
Qt 5.3 default compile flags have changed to require SSE2 Announcement: http://lists.qt-project.org/pipermail/development/2013-November/014085.html See also: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1103185 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=754894 https://bugreports.qt-project.org/browse/QTBUG-35430 Fedora fix: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/qt5-qtdeclarative.git/commit/?id=4041a1e1054a2468dd2ab87f4d1cd4995bb59c16 BTW: there is no KDE 5/KF5 or Qt5 Component
For the record, qtbase dictates whether sse2 is on or off for all other modules. I'll adjust it so it'll install both -no-sse2 and -sse2 Qt5Core and Qt5Gui libs. Regarding Qt5Qml, first, it requires patching (iow, unsupported upstream), second, i'm not even sure whether it's on ISO's, third, will users of these CPU's even try to use the library/apps using the lib?
