ElanTech touchpad is not working

The fix is still missing in the upstream, as it seems. https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48161
BTW, just to be sure: could you check whether 3.17 kernel happens to work? You can get a kernel from OBS Kernel:HEAD repo.
installed kernel 3.17.0-1.gba887ef from OBS Kernel:HEAD still not working; same messages in the logs :-(
