NET installation of 13.2B1 fails if WLAN is used
Last modified: 2015-11-06 08:42:19 UTC
A NET installation of openSUSE 13.2B1 fails if the network connection is set up via WLAN. The relevant message on console 3 is: [...] Wpa_supplicant -B -Dwext -i(null) -c/tmp/wpa_supplicant.conf sh: -c: line 0: syntax error near unexpected token'(' sh: -c: line 0: 'Wpa_supplicant -B -Dwext -i(null) -c/tmp/wpa_supplicant.conf >&2' [...] Starting the NET installation using a wired connection works fine.
You can't setup wifi the old way atm. See bug 898977.
The same is true for 13.2 RC1. Network connection via WLAN fails. Network passphrase containing special characters can be entered with German keyboard (this is a welcome improvement over 13.1!!), but neither DHCP nor static IP-address works. Wired connection works with DHCP bit server name (download.opensuse.org) and directory (I entered factory-snapshot/repo/oss) had to be entered manually.
Still happens on Leap 42.1 Beta 1.
will be worked at rsn... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 949938 ***
