The code has been there since ever, SLES10-SP3 has it as well: if (ra_msg->icmph.icmp6_hop_limit) { in6_dev->cnf.hop_limit = ra_msg->icmph.icmp6_hop_limit; if (rt) rt->u.dst.metrics[RTAX_HOPLIMIT-1] = ra_msg->icmph.icmp6_hop_limit; } The fix would be identical.

OK, I've cherry picked this to SLE11-SP1-TD and SLES10-SP3-TD as well. As per comment 7 I do not think this warrants any immediate action maintenance-wise.
