Bugzilla – Bug 319752
Shortcut F2 to rename a file isn't working
Last modified: 2007-09-15 21:23:51 UTC
---- Reported by mail@miketech.net 2005-12-07 18:18:30 MST ---- In the solution tab of the sidebar it is not possible to rename a file with the shortcut <F2>. You have to choose the item in the popup menu "Rename", though F2 is listed as shortcut. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Switch to the tab "Solution" in the sidebar 2. Click on a filename 3. Press F2 to rename the file Actual Results: Nothing happens ;) Expected Results: The user should be prompted to rename the file. This happens always. ---- Additional Comments From lluis@ximian.com 2005-12-07 19:28:10 MST ---- I think the problem is that F2 is assigned both to Rename and Next Bookmark. ---- Additional Comments From gethemant@gmail.com 2006-01-17 16:49:48 MST ---- The bug is fixed in the latest version of monodevelop. We should close the bug. Hemant(aka gnufied on irc) ---- Additional Comments From jacobilsoe@gmail.com 2006-01-17 17:25:57 MST ---- Well, you still cannot rename files with F2 on my MonoDevelop (revision 55696) ---- Additional Comments From lluis@ximian.com 2006-02-10 13:47:13 MST ---- Fixed in SVN (r56766).
