Bugzilla – Bug 321552
intellisense list of method arguments fails to appear
Last modified: 2007-09-15 21:23:51 UTC
---- Reported by sysrpl@hotmail.com 2006-07-12 18:27:04 MST ---- Description of Problem: Across all versions of monodevelop when attempting to use a method an intellisense window showing the argument list of method does not appear. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Goto any section of code where you can call methods 2. Type Console.WriteLine( 3. No intellisense argument list window appears Actual Results: An intellisense window showing everything visible from included assemblies appears instead. Expected Results: I expect to see an intellisense drop down window appear describing the parameter list of the methods. This list clues the developer into what are valid arguments of the method. Console.WriteLine(String) <1 of 19> Console.WriteLine(String, Object[]) Console.WriteLine(UInt32) .... How often does this happen? Always. Additional Information: This type of intellisense is availavle in sharpdevelop, but in talking in irc://irc.gnome.com/#mono I heard rumors that it was removed early on in creating monodevelop. ---- Additional Comments From lluis@ximian.com 2006-07-28 06:34:27 MST ---- *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=MONO78442 *** Unknown bug field "cf_op_sys_details" encountered while moving bug <cf_op_sys_details>All</cf_op_sys_details> Unknown operating system unknown.
