Description of Problem: The autotools configuration files generated failed
when the project/solution name contains "."


Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a project/solution with a "." on its name (like domain.com)
2. Generate autotools config files
3. run sh autogen.sh

Actual Results:
./configure: line XXXX: DOMAIN.COM_DEBUG_LIB=Domain.com.dll: command not found


Expected Results:

A valid makefile

How often does this happen? 

Always 

Additional Information:

Replacing DOMAIN.COM bye DOMAIN_COM it works fine
